Several weeks ago I released a new version of the OfflineBible with rudimentary search capabilities. It had many restrictions, but proved that the Gears platform could handle simple, fast keyword searches. A lot of code has passed under the bridge since then, and I’ve fleshed out the search screen into something a little more powerful. Here’s what you can look forward to in the new version. (more…)

Thursday, October 1st, 2009September has been quiet, providing me with a great opportunity to put some hours into the OfflineBible again. I promised myself that I’d get search working in some sense before the end of the month, and although I’ve run it to the wire it’s just about ready for testing.

Although most of the pages remain placeholders I’m slowly managing to expand the site theme across different sections. The archive pages now fit in with the rest of the site, which will probably make more of a difference once the site has been active for a while.
